I read this book because I wanted soapy teen drama and that's pretty much what I got. The characters are a bit annoying but honestly not any more annoying than I was as a teenager so it felt pretty real. I liked the characters a lot and I liked spending time with them in this book. I think some of the reflective philosophical moments in the book leave a bit too much unexplored and really only scratch the surface of what these characters would have thought about in such a formative year. Overall this book sagged pretty hard in a few places but was mostly fun to read and I'm looking forward to reading The Fault In Our Stars next.
