This book was a nice little devotional that would find a perfect home on a coffee table or in the bathroom. Small little one or two page essays on different themes. It isn't the best book to sit down and read straight through, though that's what I did. I'd recommend reading an essay at a time and giving yourself time to ruminate. It's Maya Angelou's wisdom in concentrated bursts, this gives her ideas a bit less weight and less room to connect but there's still plenty to gain from this little book. I especially loved her slices on feminism and charity in this book.
