Went to James' cabin a couple weeks ago and had an absolute blast. They had a fireplace
so we spent the whole weekend (really it was closer to a week) next to a fire. It was
beautiful. When we got there the whole surrounding area was covered in undisturbed
snow, of course we made short work of disturbing it. When you were outside alone
the loudest thing you could hear was your ears, I heard a woodpecker a couple times
and sometimes the hard snow bouncing off my nylon jacket was a little loud. The whole
world seemed to be asleep.
Today I'm working on my server, I'd like to have it up and running by spring so I can
focus my efforts on outdoor activities. I'm getting pretty close with the website and
the main reason I'm writing this blog post is to have some content for testing the
result filtering for the blog section of my site. I already have web and gopher set
up. I need to have a domain to use https which I'll hopefully be buying this week.
Once I have an ssl certificate I'll be able to set up e-mail and use the nextcloud I
already set up. Wish me luck!
Yesterday was Lyn's funeral. We lost a good one this year.
